These controls form part of BitcoToken's risk and account-protection framework.

01

Verification objective

Identity verification helps confirm that an account belongs to a real person or authorized organization, reduces impersonation and fraud risk, and supports a safer transaction environment.

02

Information requested

Depending on account type and risk level, BitcoToken may request a legal name, date of birth, address, government-issued identification, a live image, corporate documents or evidence relating to source of funds.

03

Document standards

Documents must be valid, legible, complete and unaltered. Information must match the account profile. Additional documents or a renewed verification may be requested when details expire or materially change.

04

Review status

Applications can remain pending while automated and manual checks are performed. Approval is not guaranteed, and access to selected products or transaction limits may depend on the completed verification level.

05

Privacy and retention

Verification data is handled according to the Privacy Policy and protected through technical and organizational safeguards. Records may be retained where required for security, dispute handling and legal compliance.

06

Ongoing due diligence

Verification is not always a one-time event. BitcoToken may request updated information when account behavior changes, risk indicators arise or regulatory requirements evolve.
